Come capture the true spirit of a small-town holiday celebration! The 22nd Annual Holiday Lighting Festival on Denton's downtown square kicks off with a sing-along and the lighting of the community Christmas tree. Twinkling lights, choirs, bell-ringers, dancers and the aroma of spicy hot cider will transport the child in you to memories of Christmas past. Take a spin in a horse-drawn wagon, have your child's photo taken with Santa, or participate in interactive arts and crafts activities that will forge memories for the entire family. Vote for your favorite cider as downtown businesses compete in the annual Wassail Fest.
Be a part of the true meaning of the holidays by bringing an unwrapped toy for the Denton Community Toy Drive on the corner of Oak & Locust in front of the Recycled Books store. Visit the Courthouse Museum and enjoy musical performances as well as a Victorian Christmas evening at the Bayless-Selby House Museum where the Denton Bach Society will be caroling. Across the garden, the Denton County African American Museum will feature holiday music and show off its holiday decor.
Don't miss Denton's Grammy Award winning band, Brave Combo, on the courthouse square! Brave Combo has been a special part of the Denton Holiday Lighting Festival for many years. Join us in thanking them and wishing them farewell, as they give their final holiday performance on the square and introduce new local musicians.
We look forward to seeing you there. It's only one evening, but you will remember it forever!
