Christmas Season Begins on The Square

Come capture the true spirit of a small-town holiday celebration! The 21st Annual Holiday Lighting Festival begins with a sing-along and the lighting of the community Christmas tree. Choirs, bell-ringers, dancers and performances on outdoor stages will transport the child in you to memories of Christmas past. Taking a spin in a horse-drawn carriage, photos with Santa, or participating in interactive crafts and art booths will forge memories for the little ones today. You can also vote for your favorite drink as downtown businesses compete in the Wassail Fest. The Courthouse Museum will be open, with musical performances inside, and shuttles will transport you to and from the Historical Park of Denton County on Mulberry Street. Enjoy a Victorian Christmas evening at the Bayless-Selby House Museum where ensembles from the Denton Bach Society will be caroling. Across the garden, the Denton County African American Museum will feature ensembles from the American Legion Senior Center Choir, and show off its holiday décor

Please bundle up and join us! Don't forget to bring a new, unwrapped toy for WFAA's Santa's Helper Toy Drive. All donated toys will be distributed to needy families in Denton County.
